Bundeena and the Royal National Park, just south of Sydney.
There are lovely beaches down there (although it's too cold to swim  this time of year), nice coastal scenery, and some Aboriginal rock  carvings.

We will meet at 9.15am at Central station in Sydney to catch the 9.30  train to Cronulla. I'll be waiting in the country departures hall at  the electronic indicator boards [.pdf of map] . I'll be wearing a lingfest T-shirt.

Once we're at Cronulla we'll catch the ferry to Bundeena. From  Bundeena we'll walk out to the coast. We will come back the same way  in reverse. The walk is a loop and we can change the size of the loop  depending on when people want to get back to Sydney and how people are  feeling on the walk.

Remember to wear comfortable walking shoes and to bring water, food  and a hat. There are shops at the start and end of the walk so we can  have ice cream at the end.
